Mr. Bumgarner, 93, Willard, died Wednesday. He was born in Northview, the son of Andy "Dodge" Bumgarner and Annie Bagley Bumgarner.
He married Fay Nichols on Oct. 5, 1940, and to this union four children were born. He was a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church, Willard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Fay; five brothers; and one sister.
He is survived by three sons, Rex Bumgarner and his wife, Wanda, of Springfield, Randy Bumgarner and his wife, Rosie, and Roger Bumgarner, all of Bolivar; one daughter, Chris Carter and her husband, Edward, of Willard; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
The Rev. Jess Roberds will officiate with burial in Robberson Prairie Cemetery.
