The Toccoa Record, 10 Jan 1918. "B. F. McKay Dead. Mr. b. F. McKay died at his home in Franklin County, December 6th at the age of 66 years and was buried at Allens church Monday.
He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Mattie Davis, of Toccoa and three sons: Walter W., of Eastanollee, Clifton, of Cordele, and Roy, of Franklin County; two daughters, Mrs. Lee Crenshaw and Mrs. John Kelley, of Franklin County.
The home of Mr. McKay was near Red Hill. He had many friends in Toccoa, who deeply sympathize with the family in their bereavement."
