Mr. George Bluford Futch Jr., age 62, of Concord, passed away June 11, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Molena to the late George Bluford Futch Sr. and Betty Mae Creamer Futch. He worked as a welder at Low Temp Industries in Jonesboro for 27 years and owned and operated Estes Grocery Store in Concord. George enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, shooting clay pigeons and he loved his two dogs, Taco and Bell. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Futch, his mother-in-law, Blanche Johnston and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years: Wanda Reeves Futch; sister and brother-in-law: Connie and Gene Mayfield of Concord; special niece, nephew and their families: Laura and Mike Kimbell and sons Cody and Devin of Concord and Donny and Angie Mayfield and children, Braden and Allison of Athens, TN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mary and Ray Brown of Hollonville, Beverly and Roy Covington of Tifton, Tommie Reeves and Sue Davidson of Eustis, FL, and Helen and Jimmy Greene of Adel; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a wonderful church family. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, June 14, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Wanda Futch, 5821 Hwy. 18 W., Concord. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 15, 11 a.m., at Neal Baptist Church in Concord. Pastor Clarence Burton and Pastor Doug Norton will officiate.
