Arthur R. Frohwerk, 64, of 314 Marquette, Ave., died at 7 p.m. Thursday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, after an eight-month illness. He was a retired foreman for the Bendix Corp. He was born on March 31, 1908 in South Bend, and had lived here 4 years, coming from Germany.

On April 15, 1933, in Wanatah, he married Annabelle Kuss, who survives, along with a son, Robert R.; a daughter, Mrs. Joan Gallivan, both of South Bend; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Marie Gottschalk of Germany.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, of which Mr. Frohwerk was a member. Rev. Charles Felton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Mr. Frohwerk was a member of the Bendix Management Club.
