Enos G. OLIVER born in 1823. On Feb. 14, 1862, he was either drafted into Confederate service, or chose to join to avoid the draft. He became a member of Company I, the Flintville Greys, 34th Georgia Infantry.

He was captured at the battle of Baker's Creek (Champion Hill) in Mississippi on May 16, 1863. He was confined as a prisoner of war at Fort Delaware, on Pea Patch Island, New Castle County, Delaware, which is located the Delaware River between Delaware and New Jersey. He remained there until his death a month later on June 17, 1863. He was buried across the river at Finns Point National Cemetery in New Jersey.

He has a marker to his memory placed in the Oliver Family Plot at Allen's United Methodist Church in Red Hill, Franklin County, Georgia, USA. However, his body remains at Finns Point National Cemetery in New Jersey.
