BIOGRAPHY: Forrestine retired from the Madison-Grant Schools Administration office in 1991. As a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Summitville, she enjoyed serving in many capacities through the years. She was an active member of the Summitville, Alexandria, and Indiana State Historical Societies. Hobbies included sewing, cooking, and flower tending. She spent many years water skiing on Lake Tippecanoe. She worked diligently to investigate and record the genealogies of her families. Forrestine was a woman of great faith, with deep love for her family and compassion to serve others.

SURVIVORS: Husband, James D. Stone-married June 1, 1951; two daughters, Beth Anne (Charles) Dodson, Indianapolis, and Meleah (John) Longenecker, Angola; grandchildren, Amaris & Josiah Longenecker; brother, Colonel Hull, Summitville; and nieces and nephews.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Preceded in death by her parents; niece, Marian Sue Hull; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hull.

Services honoring Forrestine's life will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 in the Noffze Funeral Home, 501 N. Harrison St., Alexandria. Pastor Woody Noblitt will be officiating. Cremation will follow the services with private interment in Forrestville Cemetery in Boone Township at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Noffze Funeral Home in Alexandria from 4-6 p.m. prior to the services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Summitville and the Indiana Chapter of Alzheimer's Association through the funeral home.
