Aaron F. Truax, 93, of Volney, passed away Sunday at Pontiac Care and Rehabilitation Center. Aaron was a life resident of the Volney area. He worked at Carmen Supply and later retired in 1980 from Nestle Co., Fulton after more than 25 years. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Fulton. He was an Army veteran and past commander of the Fulton American Legion. Aaron loved flower and vegetable gardening, enjoyed writing poetry and drawing. Aaron is survived by his wife of 70 years, the former Emma A. Pomeroy; children, Linda (Robert) Gainer and Wayne (Terry) Truax; three grandchildren, Wayne Jr., David and Julie; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Contributions in memory of Aaron may be made to D.A.V., 800 Irving Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210.
