John born 17 Oct. 1769, son of Lemuel Lamb and Desire Swan, went to Delaware Co., NY; married "an English lady"; was an early Judge and in 1802 assemblyman from Delaware Co., NY, was granted a patent by George III for a process of extracting fresh water from salt water, said to have obtained it through being a Mason.
