GULFPORT --- Annie Boardman Gibson, 96, died Monday, April 2, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Gibson was a native of Lauderdale County and had lived in Gulfport since 1956. She was a retired civil service employee and was a member of NARFE. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joshua D. Gibson; her parents, Jacob F. and Henrietta Young Betts; two sons, Erwin A. Smith and Leroy F. Smith; a brother, Percy E. Betts; a sister, Frances Irby; two grandchildren, Evelyn Duzanne Smith Campora and Carl Allen Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Jacqulyn Anne Smith.
Survivors include six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue, Gulfport where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum in Gulfport.
The family prefers memorials to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 123 Church Ave., Gulfport, MS 39507; or to one's favorite charity. Edition: TSH
