She was married to Gordon Lee Ferrell, who died on July 5, 1993.
She worked as a operator for C&P Telephone Company prior to becoming homemaker and was a charter member of United Baptist Church, where she was a choir member, and a belonged to the Senior Citizen Tour Group.
She is survived by a son, Stephen L. Ferrell, and wife, Gail, of Danville; grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was the last survivor of her generation.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by, Ralph Sheeler, Ewell "Bud" Sheeler, Charles Sheeler, Ruby Stringer, Virginia Selgren, and Ollie Mae Henry.
