DRYDEN, Constantine Francis, son of William & Sarah Dryden, was born in Washington Co, Va., May 20, 1809. As a boy, with parents to Ky. then to Mo. about 1830, settling in Davis Co. Licensed to preach Feb 21, 1835. Married to Miss Rebecca C. Burford, Sept 17, 1838. Settled in Greene Co, Mo. in Oct 1845 (afterwards Webster Co.). Served as Chaplain in Confederate army. Died Nov 21, 1882 near Whitesboro, Grayson Co, Texas, where his children lived. Leaves wife and four children, four children previously deceased. By J.B. Landreth. (published 12/13/1882)
