Mr. Adair had retired from the Clinton County Highway Department after 10 years, and had also been a carpenter. He had formerly lived in the Kirklin area.
He was born July 28, 1924, in Boone County, to Jack and Emma Mahler Adair. He married Rosella Rush on August 19, 1957, and she survives.
Also surviving are three sisters, Betty Adair and Mrs. William Hickson of Frankfort, and Beverly Wiggs of Rippon, Wisconsin; four brothers, William of Rossville, Mick of Frankfort, Robert of Seattle, Washington and Jimmy Joe of Wisconsin.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin.
