J. C. McBride, age 80, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Thursday, March 22, 2007, in a local hospital. Mr. McBride was born April 23, 1926, at Hubbard, Texas, and had lived in Texarkana most of his life. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was retired from G. E. Railcar. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Dot) McBride of Texarkana, Arkansas, three daughters, Kathy McBride, Tanya Garrett, and Shannon Lishman all of Texarkana, Arkansas, one son, Frankie McBride of Texarkana, Texas, five brothers, Gary McBride, Wayne McBride, and Billy McBride all of Texarkana, Arkansas, Vernon McBride of Zwolle, Louisiana, and Randy McBride of New Boston, Texas, six sisters, Bobbie Olsen of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Thelma Durham, Barbara Corn, Jeannie Anderson and Denise Johnson all of Texarkana, and Louise Terry of Linden, Texas, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, step mother Ethel McBride, Texarkana, Arkansas and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. James Ross officiating. Burial will be at Harmony Grove Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL BE AT THEIR RESIDENCE, 4529 MARK JEWELL LANE, TEXARKANA, ARKANSAS THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AT THE FUNERAL HOME FROM 5 PM UNTIL 7 PM FRIDAY.
