Past employers include Ranco, Brisk-Heat, Avis Rental Car. Survived by husband of 57 years, Thurston Smith; daughters, Sharon (Ron) Sanford and Esta Joy (Steve) Wamsley; sons, Roger (Peggy) Smith, Gary (Joanetta) Smith, Marty (Jessica) Smith, Christopher Smith; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Viola Queener; brother, Buford Christopher. Funeral service Monday 10 a.m., Columbus United Baptist Church, 6046 Taylor Road, where friends may call Sunday beginning at 4 p.m. Pastor Joe Sparks officiating. Interment Mifflin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist in final expenses. Arrangements by EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave.
