DOCK VANDIVER, 86, of Crumps Bridge Road, Martin, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at his home.
A son of the late Edward Callaway and Josephine Crump Vandiver, he was born June 5, 1916, in Franklin County where he lived all of his life. He was a retired farmer and attended Allen's United Methodist Church. He was
the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Allen's United Meth. Church. Rev Merritt Waters officiated and interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include 3 nephews, James Vandiver, Kenneth Vandiver and Charles Hughes; 3 nieces, Evelyn Head, Dorothy Boutwell and Patsy Knox; friend and caregiver,Bonnie Patterson of the home.
Pallbearers were Wayne Bentley, Dennis Bentley, Steve McFarlin, Stephen McFarlin, Roger Walker and A. D. Walker.
Whitlock Mortuary was in charge.
