Dorothy Jean Gastineau
(June 19, 1931 - June 10, 2012)

Dorothy Jean Gastineau daughter of the late Mary Moffitt Brooks and Fred Brooks was born at Redford, Missouri, on June 19, 1931. She departed this life at her residence in Ellington, Missouri, on June 10, 2012 at the age of 80.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Roy Benton Gastineau and to this union three children were born. Roy preceded her in death on December 23, 2004.

She was saved at Pinedale Church as a child. Dorothy was later baptized along with her sister Wanda in Logan Creek and then joined the Ellington First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She participated in Relay for Life and she enjoyed traveling, mowing her yard, working with her flowers, going for rides, boat riding on Current River and going to Big Springs, she loved to play Skip-Bo and joking with friends and family; she was also an avid Cardinals fan. Dorothy's greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Jimmy Brooks, two sisters, Shirley Gossett and Sharon Rauls.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, one daughter, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two sisters. Dorothy will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn her passing.

Visitation: Monday, June 11th 5 to 9 PM at McSpadden Funeral Home

Funeral Services: Tuesday, June 12th at 1 PM at Ellington First Baptist Church

Minister: Jim Stewart

Burial: Ellington Memorial Cemetery

Pallbearers: Wade Jenkins, Scott Jenkins, Ryan Gastineau, Brian Gastineau, Kyle Sutton, Ian Paige, Quentin Morrow, Justin Wood and Darin Tucker.
