Funeral services for Willie Virginia Steele, 80 of Auburn, formerly of Birmingham, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2004 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Fredericks Funeral Home.

Mrs. Steele, who died July 29, 2004, has been a resident of Auburn for the past twelve years. She was a member of Farmville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.

Survivors include her husband Joseph T. "Cub" Steele of Auburn; her daughter, Peggy J. Hall of Auburn; two sisters, Pearl Davenport of Jefferson City, MO, Gertrude Self of Grand Rapids, MI; three step-sons, James C. Steele of Barstow, CA, Joseph T. Steele, Jr. of Lynn, AL, Richard L. Steele of Clay, AL; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to Hospice of EAMC, Bethany House, 665 Opelika Road, Auburn, AL 36830.

Fredericks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
