Mrs. C. F. Baecht died at her home three miles south of Agenda Monday morning, following an illness of several months. She had been a resident of this immediate community for more than 30 years and was widely known and highly respected.
Della B. Holland was born in Marion County, Illinois, May 2, 1875, and departed this life at her home near Agenda, Kan., June 11, 1934 at the age of 59 years, 1 month and 9 days. During her early childhood the family moved to Washington County, Kansas where she grew to womanhood.
On February 12, 1901, she was united in marriage to Charles F. Baecht of Republic County, Kansas and since their marriage they have resided continuously in the vicinity of Agenda. To this union were born two sons, Jewell K. of Clyde and Virgil K. of Salina. She leaves to mourn, besides the husband and two sons, four sisters and one brother, Ory J. Holland of Brutenzorg, Java; Nora H. Taylor of Altadena, Cal.; Virginia Burkholder, Seattle, Wash.; Martha Hill, Ashland, Ore.; Darwin Holland, Brewster, Wash., and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Jessie and three brothers, Frankie, Arthur and Clark. She lived a simple life with her interests about the home and its beautification, the flowers and her children. She joined the church as a child and kept faith until death.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church in Clyde conducted by the Rev. Mr. Spence, and interment was made in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
