Frances Rebecca Lease was born at Bethany, Missouri July 18, 1874. The eldest of ten children, daughter of Arthur E Lease and Lydia Phillips, She Died March 12 1944 at the age of 69 years, 8 months, 24 days.

During her childhood she lived at Bethany and later moved with the family to Hastain, Missouri where in 1895 she was united in marriage to John E. Moore, to this union 8 children were born. Early in life she united with the Methodist church at Hastain and remained a sincere Christian. She with her husband and children moved to Saline County, Kansas in 1906 where they lived until 1919 when the moved to Gove County.

In 1930 she was married to Joseph Schwarz.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother and a kind and considerate neighbor who will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her first husband, father, mother, three brothers, one sister, one half brother, one daughter and one son. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her death six children, Harry Moore at home, Mrs. O. M. Chenoweth and J. E. Moore of Grinnell. Mrs. O. R. Withrow, R. E. Moore and F.D. More of Fort Bragg, Calif., three step daughters, Mrs. Gertrude More of Grinnell, Mrs. Mildred Hines of Kit Carson County, Colo., and Mrs. Dorothy Dawson of Oakley, Kans.; one sister and four brothers. Mrs. Lucette Lease of Watseka, Ill; Joseph Lease of Watseka, Ill; James Lease of Pittsburg, Kans.; Arthur Lease of Denver, Colo,; and George Lease of Miami County, Kansas; 23 grand children and nine step grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
