Joseph Anthony Arena, 74 of Ovid, New York passed away after a prolonged illness, surrounded by his loving family, at his home on the morning of Sunday, August 8, 2004.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 12 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ovid. Mr. Arena's son-in-law and grandsons, David, Dana, Jordan, Joseph, Dustin and Jonathan Eells will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Ovid. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Holy Cross Church.
