Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tues., June 12, 2012 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre for Dorothy K. Bromenshenkel who died Friday, June 8 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Dorothy Katherine Bromenshenkel was born December 9, 1932 in Ashley Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Albert and Elizabeth (Meyer) Bromenshenkel. Dorothy spent the major part of her life living and working in the Twin Cities. In 2001, she returned to live in Sauk Centre, where she died on Friday, June 8, 2012. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Dorothy loved fishing and traveling to various countries and around the United States.
Survivors include her sisters, Verena Steffes, Irene (Ray) Trisko, Jane (Cyril) Meyer all of Sauk Centre, Esther Winters of West Union, Evelyn (Allen) Siegle of Long Prairie, and Lillian (Eli) Lucas of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and sisters-in-law, Hildegard, Leona, Mildred, and Elsie Bromenshenkel.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Elizabeth Bromenshenkel; sisters, Rita Bromenshenkel and Mary Gritzmacher Langer; brothers, Lawrence, Victor, Robert, Leonard, and Allan Bromenshenkel; brothers-in-law, Ed Steffes, Vern Winters, Norman Gritzmacher, and Dan Langer.
