John S. Jackman, 83, 1113 Fifth avenue north, pioneer Great Falls plastering contractor who had been a resident of the city 53 years, died Friday at a local hospital
Jackman, whose health had been declining for several years, was born July 9, 1860, at Hanover, Minn. He came to Great Falls in 1890 as a plastering contractor, for many years as a member of the firm Jackman and Frazier, in partnership with Gus Frazier.
Survivors are two sons, Emmett and Earl of Great Falls; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Jackman of Seattle; a sister in Louisiana; and three grandchildren. His wife died here in 1923.
