Mr. Dan C. Garrott, age 94, of Mayfield passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Green Acres Healthcare in Mayfield, KY.

He was an Elder and Deacon at First Presbyterian Church, a former Mayfield City Council member, a Kentucky Colonel, a US Army veteran and retired from Union Carbide of Paducah after 35 years.

Mr. Garrott is survived by two sons, Lee C. (Susan) Garrott of Ten Mile, TN and Ben (Joyce) Garrott of Mayfield, KY; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Bingham Garrott; two brothers, M.C. Garrott and Jeff Garrott; one sister, Eloise Quinn; one great grandchild; and his parents, Morris C. and Ellen McClendon Garrott.

Funeral services for Mr. Dan C. Garrott will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Larry Walker and Rev. Jon Faraone will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 26.

Pallbearers will be Byron Garrott, Will Garrott, Nathan Chambers, Joseph Garrott, Jack Senter and Dan Upton.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the church.

Byrn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 303 W. Broadway, Mayfield, KY 42066.
