Norway-Katherine L. Hodgdon, 75, of Streaked Mountain Road, South Paris died Saturday at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was born in Herrick Valley, Poland on January 19, 1926 the daughter of George E. and Beryl L. Douglas Tripp. She attended schools in Poland and was employed mostly at Cornwall Industries of South Paris. She married Alonzo Hodgdon, Jr. May 29, 1948. She was a member of the Deering Memorial United methodist Church of South paris where she was an active Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping, hunting and fishing. Survivors include: her husband of South Paris; a duaghter, Paula and her husband Jim Allen of Harrison; two sons, Brian and his wife Brenda of Oxford and Steven and his fiance of Las Vegas; three brothers, Clarence Tripp of Texas, Lawrence Tripp of Florida and Arthur Tripp of Bridgton. eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Brian and Matthew Hodgdon, a sister, Juanita Emery, and five brothers, Henry, Ephram, William, Robert and Kason Tripp.
Services will be held on tuesday, Oct. 30 at 1:00 PM at Deering Memorial Methodist Church on Main St., South Paris. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts in her memory to Alonzo Hodgdon, Jr., 88 Streaked Mtn. Rd., South Paris, ME 04281. Arrangements are under the direction of Weston-Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St., South Paris.
