Arthur Lee Stringer, 74, Ringgold Road, Somerset, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 5th, 2005 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born August 12th, 1931 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, son of the alte Roscoe T. Stringer and Mae Frisbie Stringer. He was a United States Korean War Veteran, owner of Stringer Upholstery Shop, Somerset, Kentucky and a member of the West Somerset Baptist Church for over 60 years. He was very active in his church.

He is survived by his wife; Patsy Earline Garner Stringer, whom he married on December 7th, 1955 in Pulaski County: one son; Stephen Brad (and Wynona) Stringer, Ferguson, Kentucky: two daughters; Deborah Jan (and Mark) Hill, Somerset, Kentucky and Rebecca Jill (and Michael) Montgomery, Marion, Virginia: four brothers; Roscoe Eugene (and Lucille) Stringer, Somerset, Kentucky, Melvyn (and Mae) Stringer, Somerset, Kentucky, David (and Brenda) Stringer, Yosemite, Kentucky and Robert Allen (and Marlene) Stringer, Louisville, Kentucky: three sisters; Mary (and Bethel) Whittenberg, Somerset, Kentucky, Nina (and Dempsey) Nicholas, Somerset, Kentucky and Anna Raye (and Arthur) McLin, Somerset, Kentucky: 5 grandchildren; D. Michael and Gabriel Hill, Mikayla and Makenzie Montgomery and Mia Marie Stringer; Several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: one son; Gary Lee Stringer: one sister; Shirley Rogers.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 8th, 2005 at West Somerset Baptist Church with Brother Larry Butte officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Somerset, Kentucky. Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 7th, 2005 at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Military honors will be given by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
