FINAL RITES FOR MRS. VAN BLARICOM HELD SATURDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Gene Van Blaricom were held Saturday afternoon at the Laurens Methodist Church with the Rev. H. O. Ward in charge of the service. A brief service at the McKee funeral home preceded the regular service.
Mrs. Van Blaricom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Dahlberg, died at the Emmetsburg hospital Tuesday afternoon in childbirth. Her husband had been at the naval hospita; at Chelsea, Mass., at the time of her death.
OBITUARY
Eileen Marjorie Dahlberg, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Dahlberg, was born Dec. 6, 1925, at the farm home north of Laurens where the parents still reside. She was baptized as a child in the Methodist church and lived most of her life here.
She was united in marriage Jan. 10, 1946, to Pfc. Albert Eugene Van Blaricom, USMC, of Centerville, Iowa. Shortly after, Mr. Van Blaricom left for overseas duty and Mrs Blaricom (sic) worked for the Standard Oil company at Des Moines. When her husband returned she joined him and they resided for several months at Chelsea, Mass., where he was receiving treatment at the naval hospital. She came to the home of her parents in July, 1948, and passed away in the Emmetsburg hospital following the birth of her stillborn child.
