The remains of Oscar Bonham, who died last week at Pomona, WA, were brought to this village on Tuesday, and buried in the Zumbrota cemetery. It was a bitter cold day, and as few people knew the the remains were to be brought here, the attendance at the funeral was small.
Mr. Bonham was born October 20, 1847, and came to this village in 1879.
He was a conductor on the old narrow guage road for about twelve years, and was one of the first to run a train over the road.
Mr. Bonham was a member of the Masons and the Woodmen's Lodges. In the latter, he was insured in the sum of $3,000.00, which is payable to his wife, who with six children, survive him.
