GUYS MILLS — Irene F. Bogardus, 87, of 32101 State Highway 27, Guys Mills, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at Meadville Medical Center’s Transitional Care Unit.

She was born March 31, 1919, in Jackson Township, Venango County. She married Allison Berton Bogardus Dec. 31, 1937; he preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1972.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Elroy Bogardus Sr. and his wife, Rita, and Dale Eugene Bogardus and his wife, Sandra, all of Guys Mills; six grandchildren, Debra Amon and her husband, Ken, of Titusville, Wayne Bogardus Jr. and his wife, Shauna, of Saegertown, Louri Harry and her husband, Jeff Sr., of Meadville, Russell Bogardus and his wife, Terri, of Meadville, Allen Bogardus of Parker, Colo., and Jason Bogardus of Pittsburgh; seven great-grandchildren, David Amon and his wife, Brittany, Ryan Crane, Amanda Amon, Megan Bogardus, Jeffrey Harry Jr., and Zachary and Michael Bogardus; a brother, Donald Deeter and his wife, Janet, of Oil City; and a sister, Geraldine Matlock of Titusville.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Shay, in October 1984; and her mother, Maybelle Deeter, in January 1991.

Friends may call at Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph Martin of Bradleytown Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Black Ash Cemetery.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Bradleytown Methodist Church Building Fund, 1806 S. Main St., Cooperstown, Pa. 16317.
