Beloved wife of the late Charles William Bosler Jr., Elizabeth was born on Oct. 5, 1920, in Philadelphia, to the late George Schmidt Oppenlander and Elizabeth Ruhland Rebmann Oppenlander.
Elizabeth grew up in the Chestnut Hill area and graduated from Springside Academy and attended Swarthmore College.
She was a Navy WAVE during World War II, after which she had different occupations including copy work for a advertising agency, working at retail shops on the Main Line, and as a realtor for Emlen Real Estate, but her main occupation was as a designer of clothes.
She enjoyed tennis, entertaining friends and family, vacationing in Maine with her family and volunteering at St. Peter's in the Great Valley Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild.
She is survived by her son, Mark S. Bosler (Marcelle) of Parkesburg; her daughter, Mary Beth Hayes (Bruce) of Dover, Del.; and her sister, Edith Paugh of Skippack. She was also the grandmother of Heather, Christopher, Rebekah and Tessa.
She was predeceased by her brother, George Frederick Oppenlander of Duck Key, Fla.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Elizabeth's life celebration service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, at St. Peter's Church in the Great Valley, 2475 St. Peter's Road, Malvern, where friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Peter's Church in the Great Valley, 2475 St. Peter's Road, Malvern, PA 19355.
