Catharine Fisher was born on May 12, 1847, probably in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania (she was baptized there in November 1847 and the family is there in the 1850 census), daughter of Samuel S. Fisher (1823-1879)and Elizabeth Witman (1824-1890). Catherine married John D. Fell (1843-1894) on December 22, 1864. They had a son, George Washington Crosscup Fell (1879-1928). The 1900 census reports that Catherine had five births, but only one, George, was living in 1900. Catherine died on September 7, 1909 in Philadelphia.
