He was born February 27, 1955 in Galesburg the son of Floyd Robert Morris and Mary Louise Tracy Morris Foster. He married Carol Thompson in 1976. He later married Ann (Denly) Howell on July 2, 1997 in Monmouth, Ill. She survives.
Also surviving is his daughter, Stacy (Travis) Anderson of Galesburg, step daughter, Joey Howell of Monmouth, Ill.; four brothers, Robert Leon (Mary) Morris of Monmouth, Ill, Floyd "Smoky" (Mary) Morris, Phil (Cindy) Morris, and Lawrence (Brenda) Morris all of Galesburg; five sisters, Judy (Kenny) Davis of Galesburg, Carol Bohannan of Gilson, Ill., Joyce Reading, Susan (Daniel) Sargeant both of Galesburg and Sarah (Casper) Kasparie of Knoxville, Ill., and five grandchildren, Kylee, Noah, Lexi, Jareth and Conor and many nieces and nephews survive. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Roger.
Rick worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed his life, loved to camp, loved his family and his dog.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:30 pm Friday, June 8, 2012 in Wataga Cemetery. Rev. James Epperson will officiate. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 pm Friday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
