Arnold Lee Burton Sr was born on July 17, 1942, in Boyle County, Kentucky Near Parksville, his father, Ralph Pearson Burton, was 19 and his mother, Elizabeth Johnson, was 20. He married Linda Rose Hargis. They had four sons, Lee Jr, Scott, Steve, and John. He and Linda divorced in 1981. His second wife was Lena Frances Horton Hatter Burton, they were married on June 17, 1983. He died on June 11, 2004, in the Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital in Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky, at the age of 61, and was buried there in the Danville Memorial Gardens.

Arnold Lee Burton Sr., 61, of Plainview Drive, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born July 17, 1942, in Boyle County, he was the son of Elizabeth Johnson Burton of Parksville and the late Ralph P. Burton. He was a retired truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Lena F. Burton; five sons, Lee Burton of Burgin, Scott and Steve Burton, both of Danville, John Burton of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mike Hatter of Junction City; two sisters, Charlotte Boyd of Danville and Mary Alice Sears of Junction City; a brother, Glenn Burton of Russellville; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Jody Coontz. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Lee, Scott, John and Steve Burton, Mark Hatter and Ray, Eddie and Eugene Horton. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Hargis, Phillip Coontz and Michael Hargis Jr. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home. Memorials may go to Danville EMS.
