Rose Marie Bollinger, of McSherrystown, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, June 5, 2012, after a 25 year battle with Parkinson's disease. She was the wife of Donald C. Bollinger, to whom she was married 54 years.

Born June 23, 1938, in Adams County, she was the daughter of the late Gerald J. and Christine A. (Hartlaub) Gebhart.

Rose was an Avon sales representative for 25 years.

She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown and a 1956 graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three children, Jacinta Purkey of Hanover, Michael Bollinger and wife, Karen of Hanover, Erica Hotchkiss and husband, and Joseph of York New Salem; eight grandchildren, Ian Purkey, Paul E. Briggs IV, Tyler Bollinger, Jacob Bollinger, Kristin Bollinger, Ashley Boyd, Vincent Neidererr and Trent Sneeringer; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, James D. Gebhart and Francis L. "Fritz" Gebhart.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., June 8, 2012, at Annunciation Church in McSherrystown, with the Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m., June 9th, in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown.
