Curtis G. Hussey, born near York, Pennsylvania, in 1802, married Rebecca Updegraff on September 17, 1839, in Jefferson County, Ohio. Shortly after marrying, Curtis and Rebecca settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where Curtis soon engaged in copper and steel enterprises which contributed much to the prosperity of Pittsburgh. They were millionaires many times over. Curtis left a will dated September 23, 1899, and was probated on July 7, 1893.
