Daughter of Arthur Judson Hodge and Jennie Ester Atwood. Marian was a twin sister to Alice and had older brother Arthur and Older sister Ester.

Marian Agnes Carpenter, 89, of Cameron, passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002. She was born July 3, 1913 in Pasadena, Calif. She was of the Episcopal faith, and was a school secretary for 20 years with the Los Angeles public schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Hiram; and one daughter, Alice Esther Berry. Survivors include one son, Robert Carpenter of Cameron; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery at a later date under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
