Christopher A. Gauthier, 35. president of the Regan and Denny Funeral Home of Queensbury, N.Y., died
Tuesday, Nov. 22, while on a business trip to Buffalo, N.Y., of an apparent heart attack.
Born in Corning on Aug. 31, 1959, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Marcia) Gauthier of Corning. He was a graduate of Corning High School, Southwestern Community College in Creston and the Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science in Houston, Texas, where he was valedictorian. He later owned funeral homes in Corning, Lenox and Massena before moving to New York.
He was also president and CEO of the recently formed Community Funeral Management Corporation, which includes several funeral homes hi the Queensbury and Buffalo area.
Services were Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of Glens Falls, N.Y., with the Rev. John Barclay, pastor and the Rev. Frank Havens, coordinator of pastoral care of Glens Falls Hospital officiating. Burial was in Pine View cemetery in Queensbury.
Survivors besides his parents include his wife Dawn E. Gauthier of Queensbury, whom he married in Corning, Iowa, Dec. 20, 1986; two sons, Trevor C. Gauthier and Brendan S. Gauthier, both of Queensbury, two brothers. Tony Gauthier of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Joseph Gauthier of Iowa City; two sisters, Nan McCreary of Houston, Texas, and Peggy Brown of Portland. Oregon: and nieces and nephews.
