SUMTER - Dorothy Modean "Deane" Anderson Taylor, 73, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Tuomey hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be prior to the service from 3:00 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Timmonsville.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Darlington County, the daughter of the late Bennie Franklin and Addie Lee Bryant Anderson. She was a Quality Control Inspector for Campbell Soup Company for 25 years.

Survivors are her husband of 56 years Wayne Len Taylor, Sumter; a son, Len (Debbie) Taylor; a daughter, Tammy (Charles) Knight all of Sumter; a brother, Howell (Sue) Anderson , Timmonsville and grandchildren, Dana Griffin, Brandon Knight, Timothy Knight, Justin Taylor and Scott Taylor and ten great grandchildren. Deane is preceded in death by a brother, Ben Anderson and three grandchildren, Jason Len Taylor, Amanda Taylor Rhodes and Patrick Covington Taylor.

The family would like to thank a special nurse Christine for her compassion and care during this time.

Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto Street, Florence, SC is assisting the family with arrangements.
