Marjorie Lizzette Johnson Doxie was born in Macon, Fayette County Tennessee. She was the youngest of six children born to Arthur Tate Johnson and Mary Elizabeth Murphey Johnson.
She met Merenus Doxie through a pen pal organization. I do not have the exact date of their marriage. There was a letter dated 1936 from a person who was vouching that Doxie was a good man. Marjorie and Doxie had no children but she wrote about Doxie's children being nice to her and giving her gifts.
She lived in Caldwell, New Jersey and remarried a Robert McConchie.
She loved to write letters in great detail to her family in Tennessee. She wrote about what she was doing and about the weather in New Jersey. After Robert McConchie died she lived with a lady named Lucille who helped her get to and from doctors and get her medicines. She made frequent trips to Tennessee until her health began to worsen.
