Rounsevell Mortuary records of Lead state that she resided at 16 Baltimore Street in Lead; born in Italy on November 15, 1879; died in Deadwood of cerebral hemorrhage on November 1, 1937 at the age of 57 years 11 months 16 days; father - ___Viano, born Italy; buried in the Catholic Cemetery in South Lead on November 4, 1937.

Lead Daily Call newspaper, November 2, 1937 - "Mrs. Vercellino Dies Suddenly. Stroke Suffered Yesterday Morning Takes Life of Lead Woman. Mrs. Marie Vercellino, 58, a resident of Lead since 1902, succumbed to a stroke of paralysis at St. Joseph's hospital in Deadwood yesterday afternoon at 4:35 o'clock. Mrs. Vercellino suffered the stroke at her home at 16 Baltimore street about 7 o'clock yesterday morning as she was sweeping snow from the walk. She was taken immediately to the hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Ray Vercellino, of Omaha, superintendent of this district for the Western Union company, who arrived here this morning; Edward Vercellino, of Lead, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles Williamson, also of Lead. Surviving are also three grandchildren, Raymond and Patricia Anne Vercellino, and Charles Williamson Jr., all of Lead; three sisters, Mrs. Mike Marietta, Gardner, Ill.; Mrs. Fannie Davis, Chicago, and a sister, Julia, also living in Illinois, and a brother, Dolph Viano, of Gillespie, Ill. Mr. Vercellino died in Lead on November 23, 1924.
Mary Gertrude Viano was born in Courgne, Italy, November 15, 1879. She came to the United States with her family in 1883 and settled in Coal City, Ill., where she spent her girlhood and was married to John Vercellino in 1894. The Vercellinos came to Lead in 1902 and etablished their home.
Arrangements for funeral services are not yet complete and will be announced tomorrow. The body will be taken to the family home on Wednesday, to ramin until the services. The Cristoforo Colombo society, of which Mrs. Vercellino was a member, will attend the rites in a group. Mrs. Vercellino was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church."
