Trixie was 11 years and 9 months old. Her remains were laid to rest in the Long Cemetery. She obeyed the death summons on August 17, 1897, after in illness of about six months, which she bore with patience for a child. She was one of the most precious jewels given to the care of DF and Mandy "Burch," being the youngest of three children. Trixie was liked not only by her father and mother, but she left all of her school mates, which were many, to mourn and weep because of her departure. But our loss is her eternal gain and happiness, so we only bid Trixie goodbye for a season, for it will be but for a few years at the most until we can strike glad hands, with rejoicing evermore. So we say to father and mother, brother and sister: Weep not, it is only a precious jewel gone before, and Trixie is at perfect rest. So we say good bye until we all meet again.
