I left you a public message but also wanted to tell you I found this transcription online when I was researching other family members. It is from his tombstone:
Proctor, J. W. Jan 27, 1832 - Mar 15, 1912
"Asleep in Jesus, Oh, to see what my waking form shall be. To be like Him will be my bliss. For I shall see Him as He is."
