W. E. Bridges, 82, of Hornbeck died Friday, July 27, following an extended illness.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 29, at 2 p.m. in the Old Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial in the Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Jason Kay and the Rev. Dowden officiating.
Survivors include his widow; five sons, Lee and Junior Bridges of Houston, Tex., Charles Bridges of Hornbeck, Wallace Bridges of Many, and Horace Bridges of Granite City, Ill.; five daughters, Agnes Brown and Audrey Potter of Hornbeck, Barbara Ann Singleton of Clayton, Ga.; and Murline Jacobs and Louise Waller of Houston, Tex,; one sister, Lelia Aretgo of Shreveport; 28 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
