Iona Maranda Codner married Grant G. Ford Oct. 03, 1894. They had two daughters: Christa Lavergne Brown (1896-1922), and Leota Inez Parker (1907-1990).

The following is taken from Iona's obituary but not the whole. I did correct the spelling of the names, etc., and added the first names of the sisters that survived her so one knows who was who -

Iona Maranda Codner Ford was born in Fountanell, Iowa, September 1,1872, and died at the age of 59 years 11 months and 8 days. With exception of two years in Nebraska and several in Logan and Lenora she spent her life in Speed where she learned to understand joys and sorrows living deeply and fully with every energy harnessed to the limit of her frail strength.
Married at the age of 23 years to Grant Ford on October 3, 1894, she undertook the serious responsibility and limitless privilege of mother hood with a courage and purpose accompanied with warm hearted friendliness that is so remarkably reflected in her two daughters, Laverne who died in 1923, and in courageous Leota who survives her today.
Mrs. Ford will be sadly missed by her relatives and dear friends. She leaves to survive her, her husband Grant Ford; one daughter Leota and husband Elmer Parker, her little grandaughter Patty; a son-in-law Clifford Brown of Logan; one brother, George Codner, Speed; Mrs. Mary Sullivan, Logan; Mrs. Ben (Jennie) Cunningham, Speed; Mrs. Wyth (Lydia) Yontz, Vona, Colorado; Mrs. Walter E. (Iowa) Klink, Speed; Mrs. Sam (America) Martindale, Speed.
(Walter E. & Iowa were the parents and in-laws to Walter C. & Louise Klink)
