He with his family moved to Colorado in 1895. Soon after arriving in Colorado he started working in the Coal mines to help support his family.
He was converted in his early twenties. He met and married Miss Della Heath in 1910. They were married in the second Nazarene Church established in Colorado which was located in Boulder Vally. The church was on the farm later owned by the Adams.
Mr. and Mrs. Adams took unto themselves three daughters, Mrs. George (Kay) Schriber of Glendora--Mrs. John (Adelma) Willson, who passed away 2 years ago--and Mrs. Donald (Olive) Chapman of Arizona. They also raised one granddaughter, Mrs. Bill (Ruth) Brewster, from the age of 3 years.
In addition to Mrs. Adams and the two daughters Mr. Adams is survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The Adams moved to California in 1938 and joined the First Church of the Nazarene, Pasadena.
He worked for the City of Pasadena a number of years and for the Pasadena Board of Education for over sixteen years. Before his retirement some 10 years ago he was in charge of the grounds at Pasadena City College. He always took pride only in a job well done. He loved his work and gave himself to it.
