DIES MONDAY AT
HOME OF DAUGHTER
Services were held at 2 p.m. today at Union church for Silas Maston, 89, retired farmer, who died Monday afternoon at the home of his foster-daughter, Mrs. Emmett Thomas, with whom he made his home for the past three years. Rev. Harry Lambert was the officiating minister and burial was in Union cemetery.
Silas Maston was born in Washington township, Coshocton county, on Feb. 2, 1861, a son of Gilmore and Priscella Hardesty Maston. His wife died Feb. 11, 1947. He was a member of the Union Methodist church, Tunnel Hill.
The survivors include on daughter, Mrs. Emmett Cunningham, Roscoe; three sisters, Mrs. Viancey Emmery, Adams Mills, Mrs. Ella Norris, New Philadelphia, and one sister living in Danville; one brother, George Maston, New Guilford and five grandchildren.
