Spero W. Mentonis, 64, of East Stroudburg, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

He is survived by his wife, Vee (Georges) Mentonis; two sons, Mark Mentonis and his wife, Renee, of Stroudsburg, and Dean Mentonis and his wife, Kari, of Morganville, N.J.; five grandchildren, Matthew, Abigail, Jason, Eliana and Sophia; and two siblings, Maria Peist and her husband, Tony, of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Harry Mentonis and his wife, Gina, of Egg Harbor, N.J.

There will be a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 135 Stokes Ave., Stroudsburg, with the Rev. Theodore Petrides. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church section of Stroudsburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), 383 Main Ave., Fifth Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851. www.themmrf.org.
