Frankfort– Sibyl P. Hawkins, 91, of Frankfort passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Services for Mrs. Hawkins will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 at North Fork Baptist Church. Rev. Jay Stratton will officiate. Burial will follow in Switzer Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home and Saturday 11:00 a.m. until the service at the church.
A native of Bath County, KY, she was born March 2, 1919 to the late Ira Mack and Florence Marie Estill Poe. Mrs. Hawkins was a homemaker and a lifelong member of North Fork Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hawkins was the widow of William L. Hawkins and was preceded in death by her son, Dr. William M. Hawkins; two grandsons, Steven McGovern and Michael McGovern; a brother, Cecil Poe and three sisters, Maymie Knight, Christine Jones and Vivian Clark.
