Hiram W. Crouch, 62, Dies Sunday

Hiram W. Crouch, 62, 41-year employee of Reeves division of Reliance Electric company, died Sunday at Bartholomew county hospital where he had been a patient a week after suffering a heart attack. He lived at 2401 Indiana avenue.

Rites will be conducted at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at the East Columbus United Methodist church by the Rev. Charles Taylor and the Rev. Gilbert Curry. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery. Persons may call from 2 to 9 p.m. and until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Barkes and Inlow funeral home and after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Born in Brown county Sept. 29, 1906, Mr. Crouch was the son of Daniel and Bertha Snyder Crouch. He married the former Doris Voland in 1932 and had lived in Columbus for 37 years. He was a member of the East Columbus United Methodist church.

Surviving with his wife are a son, James J. Crouch of Taylorsville; a brother, Charles Crouch of 221 Cleveland street; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Mobley of Decatur, Neb., and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Earl, John, Dewey and Courtney Crouch and four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Reed, Mrs. Esta Holman, Mrs. Lena Meyers and Mrs. Dorval Griner.
