Heart Ailment Fatal; Funeral Here Friday

Alvin R. Clagett, 50, of Republic, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 1952, in his home following a heart attack. He was in failing health for six years with a heart condition.

He was born in Pleasant township, Feb. 8, 1902, to Colonel J. and Viola (Crum) Clagett. He was married June 5, 1929, to Helen Rothrock. She was killed Jan. 8, 1951, in an automobile-train collision east of the city.

Surviving are three brothers, Perry F. and Josiah B. Clagett, Tiffin, and Leonard C., of Republic, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bogart and Thelma C. Clagett of Republic, and Mrs. Florence F. Rife, of Pampa, Texas.

Mr. Clagett was employed with the State Highway department until he suffered a heart attack six years ago and had since operated a garage at Republic. He spent the winter months in Florida and had returned to his home at Republic on April1. He was a member of Hildreth Lodge, F. & A. M. there.

The Rev. C. L. Cope will conduct funeral services at 3 p.m. Friday at the Bame funeral home here. Burial will be made in Fairmont cemetery.

Friends may call at the Bame funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday."
