Mrs. Sarah Norris Dead--
Mrs. Sarah Jane Norris, 79, died at 11:15 Wednesday night at the home here following an illness of several months. It had been known for some time that she could not live long, and the end was not unexpected.
Mrs. Norris was born in Henry county, Missouri, March 26, 1856, and came to Cherokee in 1901. She moved to Kansas City, Kansas, about 1908 and lived there until 1927, when she returned to Cherokee.
Survivors are the widower, George W. Norris; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Talley; four sons, Charles Norris of Fairland, OK; William Norris of Nevada, MO; Edward Norris of Auburn, WA; and Neil Norris of Kansas City, KS; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Shell of Kansas City, and Mrs. Kate Anderson of Mark Hill, OK; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Fred Clark in charge. Burial will be in the Cherokee cemetery.
